“It’s raining, it’s pouring. The old man is snoring. He went to bed and he bumped his head and he couldn’t get up in the morning!”
Rain or shine we spend time outside everyday at Mapleseed Montessori. Being outside is wonderful for discovering new things and even reinforcing old lessons. Some of our favorite activities include running around in circles and searching for worms and slugs. As Maria Montessori expressed, “When the child goes out, it is the world itself that offers itself to him. Let us take the child out to show him real things instead of making objects which represent ideas and closing them up in cupboards.”
